QFC Sessions: What to Expect

Prepare for your First Session and Set Yourself Up For Success

Knowing what to expect will help you get the most from your QFC sessions. All QFC sessions are conducted over the phone. This page walks you through what happens before during and after your appointment so that you can be informed and at ease.

Before Your Session

Create Your Optimal Session Space

Typically sessions begin with a short conversation to identify the pattern you’d like to focus on. From there, Elizabeth guides your through the process that works directly with your body’s survival responses. This is collaborative work, not something done “to” you.

Sessions are generally calm and low-intensity from the outside, even when meaningful shifts are happening internally. Some clients notice physical sensations such as a release of tension, a deep breath, or a sense of lightness as patterns resolves. Others notice changes more gradually over the following days.

  • Find a space where you will not be interrupted for 3 to 4 hours as the length of time depends on the complexity of the issue being addressed

  • Silence your phone and other devices

  • Have paper or a computer available for taking notes

  • Keep water nearby

  • Ensure you can recline or be comfortable as you may become sleepy

  • Have privacy for emotional processing as this work requires some emotional engagement, but you won’t be drowning in emotions

  • Come with an open mind and be present with what arises.

  • Do not schedule important activities immediately after your session. Many people feel sleepy during or after, and this is completely normal and beneficial

  • Trust the process. If you are accustomed to traditional therapy or counseling, QFC might seem unusual. Know that thousands of people have experienced profound results with this exact process.

After Your Session

Although everyone’s experience is different and depending on the issues addressed in the session, you will likely feel a sense of calm, clarity, or relief after the session. As your nervous system continues to integrate the shift, you may notice changes in the days that follow, particularly when you encounter situations that previously triggered the old behavioral pattern.

It is helpful to simply notice, without judgment, when and how you respond differently to relationships, situations, or thoughts that used to trigger unwanted emotions or behaviors.

HANDLING POST-SESSION REACTIONS

What to Do If Intense Emotions Arise

Although this is not common, occasionally, a profound emotional reaction will surface a few days after a session. If this occurs:

Recognize What's Happening:

This isn't a setback. It's actually a breakthrough. The coping mechanisms that kept deep emotions suppressed have been altered, allowing material that needs clearing to finally surface.

Contact Elizabeth Immediately:

Don't try to push through this alone. This phenomenon, while uncomfortable, is presenting a golden opportunity to clear a major pattern that's been buried deep.

Schedule Another Session Quickly:

We'll arrange to do a session as soon as possible to address what's emerging. Often, these crisis moments produce the most profound healing because the neurons are "wide open" for clearing.

BETWEEN SESSIONS

Nurture Your Transformation

Notice What's Different

Pay attention to how you respond to old triggers. You might be surprised to find situations that used to bother you suddenly feel neutral.

Practice the New Programming

At the end of each session, you'll receive guidance on nurturing the beneficial energies planted in your fields. Follow this guidance. Think of it like watering seeds - consistent attention helps them grow.

Be Patient with the Process

Some changes are immediate and dramatic. Others emerge more gradually as your nervous system reorganizes itself. Both are valid. Trust that the work is happening whether you can see it immediately or not.

Track Your Progress

Consider journaling about what you notice changing. Sometimes transformation is so complete that you forget how things used to be - which is actually a sign the work has been deeply integrated.

QFC requires a genuine commitment to change. This work is powerful, but it requires your active participation and willingness to engage with the process.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

Every person and pattern is different. Some clients notice significant shifts after a single session, while others work through several layered patterns over a series of sessions. Because QFC addresses root causes rather than managing symptoms, many clients find that fewer sessions are needed compared to longer-term talk therapy.

Elizabeth will help you understand, after your first session, what a realistic path forward might look like for your specific goals.

The number of QFC you’ll benefit from depends on your goals, history, and what you’d like to change. While every person’s journey is unique, most clients move through three general phases:

Phase 1: Calm the Emotional Storm

The first priority is clearing the emotional patterns creating stress, overwhelm, or recurring challenges. When emotional "firestorms" burning, your energy is being drained which interferes with your ability to progress in your desired direction.

Phase 2: Strengthen Your Energy Boundaries

Once your nervous system is calmer, we focus on creating healthy energy boundaries in your important relationships. When you stop giving away your energy, you regain your personal power which helps you interact with others from a place of greater balance and clarity.

Phase 3: Deep Transformation

With a solid foundation in place, we begin uncovering and clearing the deeper perceptions, attitudes, and unconscious patterns that shape your life. This is where profound, lasting change occurs, allowing you to express more of your natural potential and create the life you truly want.

Some clients begin with Phase 3 because they've already done significant personal growth work. Others discover that addressing the first two phases allows all of their previous work to become far more effective.

Recommended Scheduling

If you're new to QFC, we generally recommend three sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart to build momentum.

After that, one session every 4–8 weeks is often enough to continue your progress, although your schedule will depend on your goals.

  • Some people achieve what they need in just one or a few sessions.
  • Others healing from long-term trauma may benefit from ongoing work over a longer period.

Each QFC session is complete on its own, but the sessions also build on one another. As your nervous system integrates the changes, each session supports deeper transformation.

For clients committed to significant personal growth, meaningful life changes often unfold over 12–24 sessions spread across 1– 5 years.
